Direct printing

In the direct printing process, colors are applied directly to the base material. Depending on the design, material, and shape of the cup, we use a range of technologies that guarantee the best results for our customers. At Greiner Packaging, we use:

  • Dry offset printing
  • Screen printing
  • Pad printing
  • Pre-printed film
Direct printing is increasingly moving toward individual solutions – with a focus on customization. Digital printing makes it quick and easy to implement customer requests for creative products. However, the printed surface on the individual products is being reduced more and more often in order to take sustainability aspects into account – significantly boosting recyclability. Digital watermarks can also be integrated in the printed surface. These improve material detection in the sorting plant and can also display additional information when cash register systems are used.
