MBT: multi barrier technology

This barrier technology for food and nonfood plastic packaging is used with subsequent thermoforming for cups and bowls as well as for injection stretch blow molding and extrusion blow molding for bottles and containers. A special barrier layer, such as EVOH or PA, is embedded within a standard plastic. This is a classic gas barrier.

MBT Thermoforming

Seven layers serve to increase the oxygen barrier of cups and tubs. MBT Thermoforming is primarily used for large volumes.
