The global population is constantly growing. It is estimated that by the year 2050, there will already be more than nine billion people. The segment of the population that has seen particularly strong growth in industrialized countries is older people. But the “new seniors” no longer have anything to do with those of an earlier time. They are more active, more mobile, and wealthier than ever before. And that did not come out of nowhere. Even in their younger years, they had begun to take care of their health and their wellbeing. The range of available healthcare and wellness products is booming. Many of these products are particularly sensitive and require packaging that satisfies the highest standards of hygiene.

The latest machinery and employees specifically trained for the health care sector stand fully prepared to serve the needs of customers from the following market segments:

  • Prescription drugs: Liquid or powdered drugs such as infusions, eye care, or products for diagnostic or dental application
  • OTC (over-the-counter) products: Non-prescription drugs such as hygiene and personal care products
  • Food/nutritional supplements: Liquid and non-liquid products for health care
  • Veterinary medicine: Liquid and non-liquid medical products for veterinary medicine
  • Cosmoceuticals: Medical cosmetics such as spray and lotions for skin and hair

In order to be able to guarantee a particularly high degree of purity, many products -- like contact lens solution, for example -- require packaging that minimizes the exchange between the filling and the packaging or external influences. Bottles with multi-barriers or multi-layers thus represent the packaging solution of choice. Hygiene standards of the highest level are additionally met through cleanroom technology. There are currently several EBM machines attached to the cleanroom in Rastatt that can run production under laminar flow encapsulation directly into the cleanroom, where it is packaged, documented for traceability, and prepared for transport. Even the production of RTU (ready-to-use) bottles has recently been made possible in Rastatt under cleanroom conditions. These excellent technical conditions, complemented by our qualified project development team, provide us with the perfect tools for implementing packaging solutions for our customers in line with health care trends.
