Spitz / Grilling sauces

Numerous suppliers provide Spitz, a food manufacturer based in Upper Austria, with a wide range of different raw materials. And the quality of Spitz’s products ultimately depends on the quality of these materials and the company’s effective cooperation with its partners. With this in mind, Spitz presents its Premium Supplier Awards each year – and Greiner Packaging was also the recipient of one of these awards in 2018. The criteria assessed included quality, innovative capacity, sustainability, delivery reliability, and global competitiveness. Greiner Packaging received an award in the “Sweet and Sour” category. The plastics experts produce the PET bottles Spitz uses for grilling sauces, which stand out thanks to their modern, appealing design and their practical handling. The bottles are easy to squeeze, which lets consumers make the most of the contents down to the last drop.

The schedule for implementing the packaging’s development and production was extremely tight, but Greiner Packaging impressed here as well with its management of the project. The bottles have been available across Austria since mid-2017 and are used for one of Hofer’s store-brand products. Josef Mayer, Managing Director of Spitz, has been impressed by the cooperation with Greiner Packaging for a number of reasons:
