Interpack 2026 in Düsseldorf was a key industry meeting point and a complete success for Greiner Packaging. Under the mission “Driving the circular rEVOLUTION,” the company presented its latest developments along the entire packaging value chain, with a clear focus on circularity, material efficiency, and practical innovations. The highly frequented trade fair booth clearly demonstrated the strong interest in sustainable packaging solutions that combine ecological responsibility with industrial feasibility. At the same time, the fair provided an important platform for exchange with customers, partners, and industry representatives.

Our Highlights:

Ministerial visit at the booth

A special highlight was the visit of Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer, Austrian Federal Minister for Economy, Energy, and Tourism. During his tour, he learned about Greiner Packaging’s latest innovations, including K3® r100 and the Click In sealing lid. The minister’s interest underscores the central role that sustainable packaging solutions play in transforming industry and securing Europe’s long-term economic strength. The visit demonstrates how important dialogue between political decision-makers and industry is.

Live sealing with Telsonic: Packaging you can experience

The live sealing station implemented together with Telsonic was one of the most interactive areas of the booth. Visitors were able to fill snack cups themselves and then seal them on-site using the Click In sealing lid. The demonstration brought the sealing technology to life and illustrated how simple and reliable modern packaging processes can be. At the same time, the format attracted considerable attention at the booth.

Awards in focus: International recognition for Greiner Packaging

A major highlight of the trade fair appearance was the series of international awards presented and celebrated by Greiner Packaging at interpack 2026. The awards underscore the company’s innovative strength and its consistent focus on sustainable packaging solutions, demonstrating how Greiner Packaging truly lives the motto “Driving the circular rEVOLUTION.”

The event began with two WorldStar Awards, which Greiner Packaging had already received in advance for the Click In sealing lid and the CUBO. Both products were officially recognized again during the fair and exemplify the combination of functional design, industrial feasibility, and sustainability.

This was followed by a special surprise: the President’s Award, which was also presented to the Click In sealing lid. This distinction is among the highest honors within the WorldStar Awards and recognizes particularly outstanding innovations. The jury highlighted the combination of user-friendliness, technical sophistication, and a sustainable product concept.

The award series was rounded off by the Silver SAVE FOOD Award in the category “Save Food Design,” which again went to the Click In sealing lid. This award honors solutions that actively contribute to reducing food waste, through secure product protection and reclosability, for example.

Packaging Journal Live TV: Insights directly from the booth

Additional visibility was provided by a live interview with Packaging Journal, conducted in the publication’s dedicated studio at interpack. The discussion focused on what is truly required for a functioning circular economy. Using concrete examples, it was shown how Greiner Packaging implements the principles of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle in practice. The interview made it clear that sustainable packaging solutions are only successful when ecology, functionality, and economic viability come together.

Conclusion: interpack 2026 as an impulse generator for the future of packaging

Interpack 2026 impressively demonstrated that sustainable packaging solutions and circular economy are central topics for the industry.
The exchange with customers, partners, media, and political representatives, as well as the high level of international recognition through awards, confirms Greiner Packaging’s chosen path of consistently advancing the circular economy.
