Another Californian startup has chosen Greiner Packaging’s K3® cup — and for good reason. Tezza Foods was drawn to the polished, premium appearance of the cardboard-plastic cup on shelf, as well as the exceptional service and communication they received from the entire Greiner team. What started as a packaging decision quickly evolved into a strong and successful partnership. With Greiner’s K3® cup supporting the brand from day one, Tezza Foods is now expanding to more than 100 locations across the West Coast of the United States, with further retail growth planned for later this year.

Greek Yogurt, Minus the Cow Drama — With Greiner on Board Since Day One

Based in California, Tezza Foods cultures creamy soymilk to make a dairy-free yogurt with the protein and probiotics of Greek yogurt, plus plant perks like fiber and omega-3s. Their current line includes four flavors — plain, strawberry, vanilla bean, and blueberry — all packaged in Greiner’s K3® cups. A peach variety is already in development to further expand the range.

Packaging designed to shine on the shelf

Beyond taste and nutritional benefits, Tezza Foods’ yogurt stands out at the shelf thanks to the K3® cardboard-plastic cup from Greiner Packaging, giving the brand a striking presence in stores. That is also the reason why they chose Greiner Packaging as their packaging partner for their first yogurts back in 2025.

“As a new brand, we had two goals for our packaging. First, stand out on the shelf to catch people’s attention in a crowded category through premium packaging, and second, make the yogurt itself look absolutely irresistible — people eat with their eyes first, after all. We selected the K3® cup because we thought the cardboard label looked polished and premium, enabling our bold colors to stand out and appeal to the senses.”

Sophie Moscovici-Troyka, Senior Brand Manager at Tezza Foods.

According to Moscovici-Troyka, customer feedback has also been overwhelmingly positive. Consumers specifically appreciate the bright colors of the packaging — an eye-catching differentiator in a category often dominated by minimalist white designs.

K3® - a sustainable, high-quality solution

Greiner Packaging’s K3® cup has already built a strong reputation across the United States and is a popular choice among brands seeking both sustainability and standout shelf appeal. K3® uses less plastic thanks to its thin plastic walls supported by a cardboard wrap. This wrap can be fully printed and customized, giving brands maximum visual impact at retail. Tezza Foods is a prime example of how these benefits translate into real shelf impact:

“The product quality and reliability are highly valued. Packaging is one of the most important things for a new brand trying to break through on shelf, and the cups from Greiner are polished and eye-catching. In addition, the entire team at Greiner is super reliable. We never have to follow up or double check things because the team is so on top of it.

A Fantastic Partnership as the Basis for Growth

“Greiner has been a fantastic partner. The entire team has been extremely responsive and reliable across each stage of the process from product selection to color drawdowns to prototypes to production. As an emerging brand, we appreciated that Greiner has invested in building the partnership with us!”

Greiner Packaging is proud to support Tezza Foods on their growth journey and is fully motivated to continue expanding together. With shared commitment and collaboration, the possibilities are endless.
