Kremsmünster, 4 May 2010. – Expan is currently owned by the Austrian HHD Holding GmbH. An antitrust application of the deal is to be made; Employee meetings are to be held at the Expan locations on 4 May to inform the workforce of the planned change.

All the customers will benefit
“Expan is known as the leading system provider for demanding customers. The planned takeover would represent both continuity and also improvements for all customers”, Willi Eibner, CEO of Greiner Packaging International says: “Expan customers can expect continuation of their service from their customer support. At the same time they will be able to access the international Greiner Packaging network. This will be further expanded and strengthened by the first own production located in Germany.”
 
The specialist for plastic bottle packaging and cap systems
Expan is specialized in the development and production of plastic bottles and cap systems and in decorating these products to the highest quality standards. The company supplies households and the chemicals, cosmetics, foods and pharmaceuticals industries. Expan has a product portfolio comprising over 1500 products together with extensive technological know-how in extrusion blow moulding and in the production of multilayered containers. Some 220 employees achieved an annual turnover of 23 million euros in 2009.
