Particularly during the cold season of the year, many people suffer from pain in the mouth and throat. Tantum® Verde mouth wash and gargle solution helps in three ways: it is anti-inflammatory, contains a local anesthetic and is antimicrobial. Since the beginning of this year’s “common cold season“, the popular neck and throat pain remedy has presented itself in a new 150ml packaging made by kavo by greiner packaging.

In summer 2008, the Viennese licence holder, CSC Pharmaceuticals Handels GmbH, opted for kavo by greiner packaging as a partner for the packaging. The primary packaging is a transparent, labelled PET bottle. It is provided with a child-safe screwing closure: the bottle can be opened only if the lid is pressed down and twisted simultaneously.

Wide range of applications
Tantum® Verde mouth wash and gargle solution is used preferably for all kinds of colds to soothe pain due to inflammatory and swelling conditions in the mouth and in the throat. Even for pain due to inflammation of the gums, parodontosis, tonsillitis or pharyngitis and laryngitis.

The substance benzydamine
Many inflammations caused by virus infections are treated by soothing the symptoms alone. The substance benzydamine in Tantum® Verde mouth wash and gargle solution works differently. It has anti-inflammatory properties which help the inflamed and weakened mucous membrane to cope with infection. In addition, the tissue is anesthetised locally, thus taking away the pain.
