Enjoying ice-cream easily and immediately thanks to spoon in the lid
Nestlé Frisco raises convenience with packaging solution by Greiner Packaging

Frisco, a Nestlé ice-cream brand, relaunched the packaging of its Coupe product range for the ice-cream season of 2008. Now, in addition to four existing flavours two new flavours in k2 cups made by Greiner Packaging are filling Swiss ice-cream gourmets with enthusiasm. A spoon is integrated into the lid of the packaging to allow for easy and immediate consumption.

Kremsmünster, June 2008. – Frisco Coupes, tasty ice-cream variations in a cup, are among the most traditional Swiss ice-cream products. Greiner Packaging is responsible for their packaging relaunch.

Cup with additional utility
The new packaging of the coupes was brought to life in the form of sleeved k2 cups. The cups are sealed with injection-moulded, labelled lids. When you remove the label, you can use the spoon to consume the ice-cream and immediately get the treat. Visually, cup and lid perfectly match one another. All four standard coupes have a white cup and a white lid. The two new DeLuxe products, Chocolate & Hazelnut and Strawberry & Cookies, are gold in colour.

Six flavours, two of them new
In addition to the four existing flavours, Coupe au Kirsch, Coupe Café Glacé, Coupe Cappuccino and Coupe Danmark, two new variants in flavour have been created this year. The Coupe DeLuxe Chocolate & Hazelnut contains creamy chocolate ice-cream and pieces of dark sponge cake, garnished with chocolate sauce and hazelnut pieces. The Coupe DeLuxe Strawberry & Cookies is filled with strawberry and vanilla ice-cream refined with pieces of sponge cake and strawberry pieces and decorated with pistachio nuts and strawberry sauce.

Long-established ice-cream tradition
In Switzerland, Frisco boasts of a long-established tradition. Frisco confectioners keep on developing excellent product creations. Special highlights: The “Rocket“ which was launched in 1969 due to the Apollo flights and the moon-landing, and the ice-lolly “Pralinato-Lutscher“ created in 1980.
