Top Cup – a cup serves as a lid
Greiner Packaging meets high demands for convenience to promote a new Swedish sauce dish
Arla Köket Panna is a Swedish novelty on the market that perfectly responds to the requirements of modern nutrition. The recipes for the new sauce line were created by celebrity chef Frederik Eriksson, while the innovative packaging solution is the product of Greiner Packaging. On top of a cup filled with refined whipped cream, an additional cup (Top Cup), is attached, which at the same time assumes the function of a lid.
Kremsmünster, XX. October 2006. – Time is the most precious and scarce commodity in the Western world. The very speed of a modern lifestyle is leading to significant changes in eating habits. More and more people want dishes that require very little time to prepare, yet are pleasant to the taste buds.
Quick and tasty Arla from Sweden meets this trend with its product Köket Panna, a new sauce line which consists of two components. One component is whipped cream, which forms the basis for the tasty sauce. The second component consists of an add-on to the sauces in various flavours. The sauce dish offers convenience as well as delight to the palate: It can be prepared in as little as two minutes and is just as tasty as if it were home-made.
A versatile and flexible packaging solution A new packaging concept of Greiner Packaging allows for a common wrap for both components. A sleeved PP cup that contains 250ml holds the whipped cream. This cup is topped by another one, which holds 60ml and is closed with an aluminium seal. The additional cup is called Top Cup and also serves as a lid for the basic cup. Robert Obermayr, Market-Product Manager for k2 products: "Together with Arla's Torkel Bergengren, we have succeeded in developing a versatile and flexible packaging solution consisting of two individual cups. The Top Cup opens up many new possibilities."
Scandinavian cooking trends Arla Köket Panna is attracting attention with innovative packaging technology and contents. The sauce dishes are available in several trendy tastes. All recipes originate from the popular Swedish chef Frederik Eriksson. The ingredients have been carefully tuned to round off the taste.
