Thermoforming in-line
From the roll, the extruded sheet if fed to the thermoforming machine, where it is heated. In the mould, the thermo-elastic sheet is pre-formed by the plug-assist, pressed into the mould by compressed air, cooled down and punched. The cups are ejected and stacked and then automatically conveyed to the downstream printing machine (in-line). The skeleton sheet is ground right beside the machine and further processed as raw material for sheet extrusion (middle layer). This technology is utilized for the production of cups, lids and trays.
